Bringing Communications to isolated Communities.
Access to Communications makes contacts, business, payments and settlements a reality
Communications are currently an essential driver of development in Africa.

The lack of infrastructure outside large cities represents a major obstacle to development that mobile communications solve.

Access to mobile makes fluid contacts, business, payments and settlements a reality.

It dramatically impacts in the life, livelihood and income of millions of people:
  • It provides access to finance, credit and banking (there are now 9 countries with more mobile money accounts than regular bank accounts)
  • It increases the available time to generate revenue. People nowadays use uncounted unproductive hours to solve problems that can be solved with a phone-call.
  • Some have to walk several miles and up hills to get mobile coverage It is now widely used for health checks, data transmission and other clinical needs related to Maternal & Childhood health programs
  • It enormously impacts the implementation of Gender plans providing independent activity for women throughout Africa.

Production and Trade in rural Africa are boosting due to Productivity gains derived from reliable power and the ability to transmit & receive information without interruptions or delays.

    Bussiness Model

Depending on the location the business model can be:

    • A TowerCo : Owning the tower based on a shared tower model sharing the income with the operator(s)

    • A RESCO: Renewable Energy Service Company, acting as the power supplier to the tower owner.

In both cases, Yiitidi business model does not face resistance from Mobile Operators (MNO), since it leads investment in low populated areas, of secondary interest to MNOs. On the contrary, the new towers in remote locations add up coverage area, contributing to the MNO compliance with coverage parameters foreseen in Operators licenses
